I got a call on my cell today 7/19/08 around 11:00. It appeared to be a Spanish speaker recorded message.

I got a call from this number on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 7:56 pm on my cell phone. Spanish-speaking woman's voice; sounded like a recording. Lasted 31 seconds. Have no idea what she said. Didn't call back. My cell phone is a Black Razer; with AT&T; Louisville, KY.

Received two phone calls from this number on my cell phone, one on 07/14/08, and one on 07/15/08. I did not answer either call and no voice mails were received.

this lady is calling every other day on all three of our cell phones. no message is ever left and when we answer we cannot understand her. is there anyway somebody do something about this! we will be happy to press charges...as soon as we can find out where and who they are coming from. i'm starting to think that this is an inside job at verizon!!!! how did anyone get our numbers???? do not respond to anyone on the other end of the line...who knows if the are taping your voice and running a scam. i would recommend that we all block this number!!!!

10 days ago I answered a call from 719-948-9988 and was treated to a Spanish recording which I hung up on. I have also received similar calls from 2 other numbers ending in 9988, both displaying Arizona Area Codes. With VoIP it is easy to spoof your caller id info, I'm not sure why they would keep the last 4 digits the same though. I will treat any numbers ending in 9988 suspect from now on though.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS # TODAY. THEY WERE ASKING FOR SOMEONE, BUT IT WAS WRONG # FOR THAT PERSON. I CALLED THE # TO FIND OUT WHO IT IS, AND TO TELL THEM I'D SUE IF THEY CALLED AGAIN, AS I AM ON THE NO CALL LIST. AFTER A MINUTE THEY SAID THEY WERE CALLING ON BEHALF OF ACE CASH. SO THAT MEANS THEY ARE BILL COLLECTORS FROM A PHONE BANK THAT SERVICES MANY COMPANIES. THEY OBVIOUSLY TROLL #'S THAT HAVE A LAST NAME SIMILAR TO THE PERSON THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT LAWS THEY MAY BREAK IF THEY CAN INCREASE THEIR COMMISSIONS BY "LOCATING" THEIR TARGET.

This number called my cell this morning. I did not answer. From reading other posts, it appears that it may be a Spanish recording. Regardless, I do not want this company calling my phones

Just got a missed call from this number too. No message left behind. I suspect I got probably the same call on my work phone, but the caller ID has been disguised, so I am not sure on that. What's up with that? Why would somebody call? To validate the phone numbers? To tick people off? To find how many hits on the Google this prank gets? Annoying!
