They call several times a day. Caller ID says "Private Name" and when I answer there is no one at the other end. I then hear a click indicating that the other party has disconnected.
And I got a call at 3:30 am this morning and every hour after that until noon . . . Rumor has it that Navient is the new "privatized student loan bankster"
Navient is the company that took over Sallie Mae. This just happened a couple months or so ago.
this is a company that took over student loans such as sallee mae, my son has a loan and they aggrivate me to death.
This number keeps calling both my cell and work number but never leave a message and hang up when I answer my work line. I've simply stopped answering the calls.

I believe this is a company that took over Sallie Mae, a student loan company. My husband and I have a parent plus loan we took out to pay for daughter's college. Pay it faithfully every month to where it's about paid off. Why are they calling my cell number on average 5 - 10 times a day, all hours of the night? We have never missed a payment and are never late. If this has to do with my daughter, I don't know how to contact her so they need to leave me alone. I consider this harassment. They have never left a message asking me any questions.
They are probably trying to get ahold of someone who is late with their payment & used to have your number & are looking for what they are owed. That's what happened to me. After getting 6 calls a day from them I finally had enough answered it & told them there is no one hear by that name in my house hold & I haven't had a call from them since then.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
