Answering machine picked up no message.Never stops sick people

Left message on my answering machine. A female spoke both English, then Spanish. Wanted to know if I was in favor of a tax on cigarettes, press 1 for ….., press 2 for …. and 3 for …. Since, of course, I did not answer, it automatically disconnected.

These folks just called my house, phone rang 3 times; my machine picks up after 4, so I guess they expected dumb ol' me to pick up and give them a recording of my voice, eh? Nope! Better luck elsewhere, scammers. Caller ID just read 'Chicago, IL'.

Another phony survey. Last time they used (773)-279-5967 and asked about Olympic games and then the answering machine cut off. This time the call jumped the machine and started before it shut off then the machine shut these vermin off. I don't know what their end game is but I'm sure it's something sleazy.

Just got a call from this number claiming to be a survey asking if I support raising, reducing, abolishing, etc., the federal minimum wage.I bet this is not a real survey, but an attempt to find out if there is a person there that can be reached. The scammers are testing the fence, looking for a weakness. They call at different times, with different numbers; some local, some toll free, some "unknown," some from thousands of miles away. They are trying to see if one of them works to get someone to pick up. My guess is this is a scammer. I have received a number of scam attempts lately, including the classic "Microsoft technician" calling about my supposed virus.

I've received frequent calls from this number with no message. Attempts to call back result in no answer. Calls come at all different hours of the day. Clearly a scam / spam. My recommendation is to just not answer and block if you can.
