mann, this sucks my husband got a note that said send deposit this check and get more later. we called and the guy kept telling us that it is good cause why would we send a real check out if it's not good. After about an hour of going over the Pro's and con's and talking to his father he decided to look it up and surprise we get all this THank you guys soooo much for taking the time to enter all this on the internet cause we were getting ready to go to the bank. [***].. we needed the money.. My husband wants to try to deposit the check to see if it will go through I mean if their scamming us why not try to do it back??? but of course he wont/... Thank YOu all for the heads up.. To any one who got this notice it's a scam don't fall it cause even if the ck does go through u'll get cought and that's trouble for u.. bye

hey everyone.. im turning 18 in a month and i just bought a car that killed me.. 31 thousand .. my parents are 250 thousand dollars in debt.. and this check i honestly believed was a gift from god... but its wierd. most the info.. is different than you guys. but same concept. check is from pool builders supply of the carolines inc.. 1124 central ave charlotte nc /// and from the central carolina bank and trust co... for the amount of 4500.00 saying ill win 350 grand... its from the compensation draw.. from david smith. and my tax agent is jenny powell.. sigh.. their number is 604-771-3932. so this is a scam too huh...?? no need to get excited im guessing. what if i took it to a check cashing place what would happen.

I recieved the same letter, from MAACO Financial Services, Inc. in Canada, stating I had won the "compensation draw" in conjunction with the Sweepstakes Assn of North America, and was entitled to 250,000. Along with the letter came a realistic looking check in the amount of $4650.00 drawn off PNC bank in PA, which I was to cash and then send $3,865.00 by moneygram to a tax agent in Canada. Mo-fos.

I received the exact same letter that you have with exactly the same in-formation and monetary amounts. I will have to pray as to how to handle this. On person that responded mentioned that she would call the number and witness to the person that answers the telephone. I am a Christian and I may be lead to do this tomorrow as well.God Bless

I SEE WHAT'S GOING ON AND I DEPOSITTED THE CHECK AND IF IT CLEARS THEN I WILL CONTACT THE COMPANY WHOS NAME IS ON THE CHECK.HAS ANYONE DONE ANY RESEARCH ON THE COMPANY? THE CHECK IS FROM A LEGITIMATE CHRISTAIN ORGANIZATION, THAT MUCH I HAVE VERIFIED. I WILL CONTINUE RESEARCHING THIS SCUMBAG AND KEEP YOU ALL POSTED.

I did not recieve a call but did recieve a letter. Claims Agent: Karen Woods, Tax Agent: Vanessa Taylor. I supposedly won $250,000. in a compensation draw organized for all consumers in conjunction with the Sweepstakes Assoc. of North America. Check for $4,565.00 from Furlong Lamp & Lighting, Inc. Bank: Harleysville National Bank, East Penn Bank. Whom should I report to? And has anyone ever deposited check, and if so what was outcome?
