got a call "last chance to renew vehicle warranty." on my cell

"Michael" called me from this 800 number. I like to mess with the scam artists, so I pretended to be a foreigner (no particular country) but I spoke to him with an accent. I figure these calls won't stop unless the good ol' government does something about it (not going to happen) so I'm just going to mess with these people in the meantime. Next time they call, I might just blow out an ear drum with some super loud music or something. I'm getting creative now....

THEN WHEN THE GUY GOT SUSPICIOUS HE SAID "WE ONLY TAKE MODELS THAT ARE 1999 AND UP" BUT OF COURSE THATS ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE THE PEOPLE.PLUS I HAD A CONVERSATION WITH THE PERSON WHO CALLED ME AND SHE REFFERED TO THE PEOPLE SHE WAS GOING TO PUT ME INTO A THE WARRANTY SPECIALISTS AND IF YOU GO ONTO THEIR WEBSITE THEY ARE HIRING FOR WARRANTY SPECIALISTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS. SO IT'S THE SAME EXACT MAKE-UP. PLUS NOT TO MENTION I ALSO ASKED THE REP THE NAME OF THE COMPANY AND SHE TOLD ME "WE DON'T HAVE A NAME, THE WARRANTY SPECIALIST HAS ALL THAT INFORMATION"I ALSO SAID SOMEONE CALLED ME AND WAS IN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING ME INTO A WARRANTY SPECIALIST BUT I GOT DISCONNECTED AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS O LET ME TAKE YOUR INFORMATION! SO AGAIN JUST ANOTHER FORM OF EVIDENCE THATS IT'S THEM. PLUS ANOTHER FORM IS NO MATTER WHAT NUMBER YOU CALL FROM ABOVE THEY ALWAYS ANSWER AS "WARRANTY DIVISION"

Another worthless phone call from some Crack Head trying to steal money from some sucker who answers this phone call!Dry them out, take away their phone calling privilages while they are in Jail, Again!

This is just one of several calls I have received in the last few days.Enough is enough. Watch out the number is different each time. Other numbers in 630-485-2699,910-464-1407 and 724-994-1407. I have even received a weird text message.

Ive heard these calls have something to do with this computer hacker attack thats being compared to Pearl Harbor. If you do give them your information they use it to get into everything you own. Ive also heard they upload something on your phone that can accesses your home computer or other phones through your blue-tooth and such. I just recently heard about this on the radion so I dont know too much about it. But I have recieved this call often and never have given any info.

I get calls from these people (I never answer) at least once a day. For a while (about 2 weeks or so) I actually did not receive any calls from these people. I have a prepaid cell so I only give the number to select people. I cannot figure out how these people got my number. I actually have 2 prepaid cells and they only call the one, so this adds to the mystery of where they got that number. I can only think that they bought the number from a website that I may have made a purchase from or subscribed to.

I have been getting these calls every week at my work. I can't get anyone to answer if I press '1' to tell them to stop calling. What retards.

Never answer a number you don't know. I use my cell as a pager and for my emergencies only. Car warranty people , high pressure telemarketing , 3 rd party bill collectors can only win when you answer. Requesting quotes for insurance and the like on the net is a bad idea too, your phone may ring all day long ! I use Life Lock and change my credit card #s, pass codes, file complaints, and make life hell for identity thieves and con artists frequently. You can also file a report with Rip off dot com on the net. Careful though keep it honest and respectful as the scum may try to sue.This number in particular hangs up on me.
