I got a Letter stating what M. Narganes on 03.12.2021 states. This is a TOTAL SCAM. If the IRS Wants to Talk to you, it Will Be Official. Do Not Fall for THIS SCAM.

Total scam and fraudulent. Attempting to represent the INTER REVENUE SERVICE. CLAMING THAT YOU OWE BACK TAXES. I have received several letters from them. No address listed on the letter just a phone number 1-800-206-1944. First, the IRS does not use anything called a Distraint Warrant. Their right to levy and distraint (a legal term) is sent to you with something called a Levy Notice (you can read more about that here). Second, the IRS Letter IDs do not look like the one used here. The number is far too long and not consistent with actual identifications used by the IRS. Third, the 15 day requirement to respond is not one that is used in IRS collection rules.
