I confirm that the number is from Cox Communications. They were trying to sell me on their phone service. I have received a few missed calls in previous weeks until I finally picked up to see who it was.

Have received calls from this number about once week for the last few months after I signed on with Cox.

Just had a missed call from this number today. I signed up for new Cox service at the start of this month, but not Cox phone service, so I guess that's what this is about.

Same here. And every friggin' time I tell them I don't have a land line. I wish there was a more reasonable option than Cox. I can't stand their customer service and their fees are ridiculous.

I just answered a call from this number and a woman's voice asked me by my full first name if I was there. As soon as I said it was me she hung up. I checked the call log on my phone and this was the third call I received from this number in the last month. I didn't answer the other 2 times and they did not leave a voicemail.

Yes, that's Cox Communications. First the machine call you and if you pickup it will transfer you to an agent. They are trying to get you sign up with other services.

i too got these calls after signing up with Cox Cable.

Received a call over a week ago from that number suggesting I agree to a two-year verbal contract not to cancel Cox in exchange for no rate increases during that time.
