I AM SOOOOOOOOO ANGRY!!!!!!!!! They called three times this morning!!!! Is this what one gets for donating blood?!? How would I know whether they are calling because something went wrong--maybe someone was in an accident or something??? They did remove my name from the list when I called back and requested it--but it was hard to get through to a person.
This is the American Red Cross, i agree, if they are going to call1) leave a message saying it was ARC2) have their name show up in the caller ID, i don't pick up unknown phone calls
I thought they had taken my name off their list, but they are still calling me. It almost makes me wish I hadn't given blood. They weren't like this years ago--you just gave blood and didn't have to worry about being harassed after. They even send me junk mail constantly. But the annoying phone calls--those, I can do without. Imagine my worry when I get a call from a toll-free number--I always panic that something might have happened to someone I love. I am so angry that they didn't really take my name off their calling list when they said they would. Gee, I wonder why the Red Cross has to try so hard to get donors. Could be that all their harassing makes people not want to do so--because it involves so much worry after the fact!
800-448-6543 (American Red Cross?) 866-867-5796 (CenturyTel?) According to previous posts.I do not answer unidentified callers.Seems to happen more just after I hang up from a local/personal call. Almost as if these companies are monitoring phones and knowing that someone is there to answer their call.Big Brother is watching??
They have called three times so far in the last week. When I called back and actually got a real person, she refused to remove my name from their calling list because they are non-profit (like they're exempt from common courtesy?!), and also because it was another family member, not me, who had donated the blood, so he should call and make the request, even though it is my phone. I am fed up with these people.
They called while I was gone and left a message letting me know there was a local blood drive and they are in need of blood... I do give blood, just wondering if others who receive the call give too or maybe recently got a new number? I have never received the calls before I began giving...
Called back. Am. Red Cross. They call frequently w/o leaving messages. I find this annoying. If they leave a message, I would return their call.
Great. Now I just got a "page" to call this number. Here I am thinking that some spammer got ahold of my cell phone number, and is trying to get me to call them back so they can *try* to steal my identity...bad publicity, ARC!
