SCAM. stealing personal info. Telling they are from TD bank
Call type: Scam suspicion
Rating: 1
This number is a valid TD number. I checked by phoning TD customer care.
Well, I don't really understand how you could call this a scam when they have an automated system saying my full name on my Visa, and then made me confirm the last four transactions I made in full detail by listing the name of the company, their phone number, and the exact amount (in my case converted from USD) to me. TD Visa transactions usually don't show for around two or three days, so even if I checked statements or the system in the branches I wouldn't be able to find out this information yet.I missed the call to the home number and while looking up this number here they called me again on my cell this time. I'm glad I picked up so I don't have to wait even longer for my order to go through. As a note, they got the first "sporting goods" store correct, and the last "restaurant" correct as well. The middle two from the same company, it was another "sporting goods" store but they labeled it as a "computer systems" company because the store used something similar to PayPal to process the transaction. The store itself had the "computer systems" company's name on the receipt though.Long post, but hope it helps someone relieve them of their fears.
I got a call from 1-800-466-7295 and I contacted customer service instead and they said it is a valid number. Some idiot attempted to charge my card via the internet.
This phone number is a SCAM. Received it on voice message. Phoned TD Visa and they don't recognize the phone number nor do they have record of their Loss Prevention Department (doesn't exist) phoning me. BEWARE.He is right
Got a call from this number saying they wanted to verify my TD Visa card ... I don't have a TD Visa Card. I didn't check into it anyfurther.
Are you stupid? yes they do. They called me before about my debit card, i had to go into the branch to verify that I didn't make transactions, someone had copied my card info and used it multiple times over seas!!!
I got a call, someone tryed to use my visa card at a bunch of gas stations!!!! thank GOD they called me.Even thought i had to wait over an hour on hold!.........o well.
The number 800-466-7295 IS indeed a valid number for TD VISA. The whole thing is automated and you do NOT have to give any security information other than the 3 numbers in your 6-digit Canadian postal code to confirm your identity for them. You don't even have to give your credit card number; they know who you are if you're calling from a number that the system recognizes.I had a problem last night with some online transactions failing for some reason despite my having provided valid and correct credit card information. This morning I got a call from this number seeking confirmation of the validity of the transactions, so that's all it is: VISA calling to confirm that it's really you placing the orders.
Sorry -- I disagree. It IS TD VISA calling, and they helped resolve a problem I had with some online transactions (see my posting below).

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.

Scam debit collector. I say 'scam' because I don't have a credit card, loan, lease, tuition, or debit or any kind. I own my home, vehicle, and everything in them. There's not a single reason for a debit collector to be calling me.
