Do you think the spammers are using the Life Lock's number to get your ID's.

Just because someone calls with the number of the company, they can scam the real company's number to come up on you phone ID, If they call first, don't give any information out even your dog's name.

2 calls this evening to my cell phone. Let it ring. They left no message. I've never been a LL customer.

This is a bona-fide number for LifeLock, but scammers are evidently spoofing with this number also. I use LifeLock and received a call from this number about an "event notification." Was suspicious immediately as all previous notifications and renewal information came via email. Caller was unable to give any information that LifeLock has on file about my specific account. I refused to provide any information, then checked LifeLock's website and confirmed that they had no such event notification on record.

Perhaps this number is also being spoofed or used for sales calls, but I can say that I'm a LifeLock member through AOL and got a robocall from this number an hour after I opened a new credit card. The message told me to log into my account to view the alert. So they may be dropping the ball for some people, but I'm pleased I got the phone call as quickly as I did.

BigA, perhaps Feeling Protected was just posting so other people looking the number up would get some solid info (not discounting the others who may have been spoofed by the same number). I don't believe FP ever said he/she knew the call was coming -- just that they knew a car dealership was doing a hard check on their credit. Also, unless the number was already in their contacts list, it's always prudent to double check online. That's why I always come to this site and look up every "toll free" call I get. Better safe than sorry!

LifeLock was calling me to let me know that they needed to update payment information, it was true.

800-543-3562 is a number for the company "Lifelock". If you have purchased coverage from this company to protect your credit and identity, this is who the call is from. I hope this helps all who needs to know!!!

I am tired of the constant calls from this number/company. They falsely state that I have an account with them that is about to expire and try to scare me into calling them in urgent fashion. Obviously they want me to call for a sales pitch.

800-543-3562 is a valid call from LifeLock, which in my case was a very welcome call to alert me that someone was attempting to open a new account in my name. Fortunately, it was I who was opening the account. I have great confidence in a company with this kind of monitoring for my protection. LifeLock is a GREAT company!
