Called the number too, and after 30 minutes on hold they said there shouldn't be any concerns if you are not a member. What a joke.
Same issue John had:Password reset email from Kaiser (not a current member)Called Kaiser to let them know someone may have hacked their website.Offered to do an IP trace or to forward the email, but they do not seem interested. If this happened to you please leave a comment, so Kaiser will be forced to address this.
2/15/2015, got this email supposedly from Kaiser; I checked my Kaiser profile and my number is not changed. Googled the phone number and found this webpage. I'm not going to call the number as I suspect they are simply collecting "live" phone numbers to sell.Hello, Deborah,Our records show that you changed your mobile number for texts or daytime or evening phone number on kp.org.If you did not make this request, please contact us at 1-800-556-7677 (toll free). This is a LEGITIMATE number for Kaiser Permanente Health Insurance plan. It is the information line for questions.
Had the same experience and have been doing some research online to make sure that the number and contact was actually legitimate. They told me it was a system error and that it does happen on occasion
Be careful, my daughter had the same email, she called the number and they said that someone tried to open an account under her name recently, they asked for her address to send a password, she did this without my authorization.
