I received a call stating I would be charged unless I returned my defective phone. My phone is fine and I haven't gotten a replacement. The recorded voice gave me an RMA number and said I should call back at 800-601-1723.
I just got a call at 8am in the morning!No one on the other line. I waited for a full minute but no one ever said anything.My husband did have a defective phone last month, and has already sent it back. However, he has a different number than I do, and while they were working with him with his phone issue they never called me about it, so I don't know why they would bother calling me now. I love my phone and have never had a problem with it.
Yeah I returned my phone a week ago and just got this call. Looked up on some other forums and apparantly a lot of people have trouble returning phones to at&t, like they can't track the shipment cause the shipping number doesn't work. Bout to call them and let them know to get in touch with the postal service if they want to know where my phone is...it shouldn't be my problem if the post office can't get the package there.
They called regarding a warranty exchange on my phone. They have not received the return phone, however they had to send two packages because the first one has been stuck in the St. Louis post office for 3 weeks. So, they were calling about the first phone.
This is a scam.. we got a call one morning at 5:30am.. told them go away.. 2 days later got a text.. 2 days after that (4 total days) got an actual email from At&t that they were shipping a warranty phone to an address in Plantation FL. Called At&t fraud dept and blocked the phone and added extra layers of security.. that was a month ago and we just received a call today about returning the device and gave the phone # of 800-601-1723 but an incorrect cellular #. DO NOT HESITATE AND CALL AT&T RIGHT AWAY JUST TO COVER YOUR BUTT!!
I'm not with ATT .... Never have been ....calling to tell me to return defective phone or pay $700.00I returned called ...ATT named some lady on my number... Never herd of her.. Said they would take note of wrong number... Also gave me1-800-844-5584 and 877-844-5584 if I had any more calls to contact these numbers as well ... So we shall see
