i say let them take my tax return. i take all my tax credits up front. I too went bankrupt due to student loans coming due and the payment being more than $1800.00/mth funny how your payment can be more than you bring home with two children in the house to feed. After my bankruptcy i received a call to settle out my student loan i paid them the money (borrowed from a friend) received a letter stating it was paid in full, all of a sudden 4 years later i receive a phone call at my new job telling me that i need to pay it. i told them i settled it and they needed to send me proof that this student loan still exists. They sent me documents showing that the student loan (same amount different account number) (they're account number) is still outstanding. I faxed over the letter showing it was settled and they said i made the letter up. (yeah right on their letter head). I have since asked for updated statements and documentation showing that they have received my taxes, GST and energy credits, i have also requested proof that they attempted to contact me over the last four years and haven't received anything. i say take it...i don't care anymore. TCR is nothing but scam artists who like to threaten the ppl they are trying to collect from. Maybe someone should send them a copy of the Canadian Collections Act.

This number was given to me to call back in repeated calls and voicemails. After repeated problems reaching them, I finally got through to "Mahmoud" or "Hamood" or something like that. The guy can't enunciate to save his soul. I tell him I am returning his call, ask him who he is and what he wants. He refuses to identify himself or his company. He asks for my phone number and name. I tell him I'll give him mine if he tells me his. He refuses. I refuse. He gets angry and belligerent when I continue to press for what company he is calling from, eventually he hangs up.I read above that this guy is a debt collector; maybe so, but not a legitimate one. They have specific rules and have to limit their contact and identify themselves. I also know that I have no debts, so my guess is FRAUD.My advice: Don't answer anonymous calls, and NEVER GIVE THESE *&^*(%^# ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

i been receiving a phone call from this company, saying "this problem has gone with unanswered, please call us back by tomorrow morning so we can solve this matter". His name is Mina Singh.i wonder who are these people. i wonder if there is a way to get rid of them calling you.

Re. "a way to get rid of them calling you," try calling them 1000 times/day or blow their ears off with a whistle, air horn or smoke alarm.

I got the same message and it goes right to voicemail when I call back. I'm glad I read these posts first before talking to them. I think I'll be more skeptical of what they're saying.

I received a message from this number today and promptly called it back. Once I was put in touch with Bastian, he refused to tell me which company he was working for but kept pressuring me to give him my birthday and home address. I hung up on him and called The Ministry of Consumer Services and they called them. Company name = TOTAL CREDIT RECOVERY
