Got an email stating they were from BOA and they has received a $500.00 phone payment to CC 7069. I have no cards ending in that number. The number listed is as 1.800.732.9194 for contact.FRAUD?
I called BofA for account questions and they have a service where they call you back so you don't have to wait on hold. 800-732-9194 was the number given for their callback. Some sleaze bags may be spoofing the number but it is also a legit BofA phone number.
I called Bank of America and left a call back number b/c of billing error. This number called me back three times in 20 minutes. No called ID. In fact, it said Unavailable, but I figured it as the bank b/c of the 800 number. Each time I picked up, I got a dial tone. The call was automated and apparently, the system doesn't work. So the result is I never got a successful call back from them. No the first time Bank of America has screwed up.
This is a GOOD phone number from Bank of America. If you have a BofA app on your cell phone, the ph# may be on the customer service info or show up when you call it for help if needed. I called this number first for account help and wanted all to known that it is legit. Hope this helps everyone out......from an un-active BofA employee.
I requested a callback from Bank of America today and this is the number that called me back. It is still an automated system, so may not respond immediately when you first answer. You can call this number back and you get the BoA automated "help desk" (same as calling Customer Service) where you can access general info on your account or hang on for a real person. We talked to a real person who, without us giving more than our name, was able to see that my wife had contacted them earlier, and the details of our account, etc. I wish the Caller ID would identify it as BoA. Then I would have answered it the first time. But with all the fake IDs, if I wasn't expecting a call from them I probably wouldn't believe it anyway!
Legit number . I had a double deduction paying a credit card bill and this is their call back number. Well actually their number phoning you if you don't wish to wait on the phone............... if you HAD PHONED THEM FIRST. otherwise spoofed.
info fishing scam they insist (recorder) on your personal info acct# & ss# before you can even speak with a person...called the number on the back of my real card and they said it's fishing crooks pretty much---they also called on 626-817-7020 another fishing spam
This is Bank of America. It's the number that showed up when they called me back after I requested a callback from their main customer service phone number.
Got an unsolicited call from "Card Member Services" who wanted all my card's surface info -- I refused; they couldn't even give me a website of their own or any way to prove they were legit. They said they'd call my bank and have them call me. About an hour later I got a call from a Jason Garcia of BOA on this number. When I asked for proof that he was BOA, he told me to call him back at the same number. When I pointed out that that would merely send me back to his call center, where he or his co-workers could say they were BOA without actually being BOA, he got upset at me. When the number he was calling from wasn't on my card or my statement and I (politely) refused simply call him back at the same number (for the reason just stated) and asked for BOA's web-address, he called me a "real piece of s*** " and hung up on me. Pretty sure BOA employees would never call me that. Later found the number on BOA's website and tried calling it -- was told the line as busy, given a "switch" number, and hung up on. I'm gathering BOA needs a new call center. Oh, also, I don't have a BOA account.
I received a robocall saying that I needed to talk to them about lowering my interest on my credit card and to press 1 to talk to a human. A man came on the line and it sounded like he was in a busy call center and English was not his native language. I pretended I did not have any credit card and said, "Great! When will I get this credit card" . He then gave me this telephone number.I didn't even get to fake the bankruptcy court or anything before the call ended. :-) At least I kept him occupied for a few minutes.
