I received a call from this number and it was from Xoom verifying a financial transaction. It seemed genuine.
Somebody call me from this phone number to ask qusetions about myself including my social security number
person called stating that we needed to verify a financial transaction with 24 hours. We called the number they left, they would not give thier name, but they wanted to verify our birthday and they wanted our email. DO NOT GIVE ANY INOFMATION. This is a fishing tactic.. Report it to your local authorities and your States Attorney Generals Office
Received message from Xoom and this number that I had 24 hours to complete my transaction. About 2 hours later I had a call from my Credit Card Company advising me that I had 2 transactions pending from Xoom. I didn't return their call and I am glad that I have Fraud Protection on my cards. Please don't give them any information.
I got call from this number within 5 mins of completing transaction on Xoom. It sound legitimate but i got concerned when they started asking first name, last name, birthdate etc.I hangup the phone and called Xoom customer care. They verified that its xoom customer verification number. But yeah I am still not convinced to give all the details on phone. I will try giving them wrong detail first to see if they can figure it out.
Got a call on my cell phone from a Jason at XOOM.com thanking me, in semi-broken English, for my order and asking that I call this number to confirm or my order would be cancelled. I did not place any such order, but this prompted me to look at my Capital One card account and sure enough, there was a pending transaction for XOOM.com. There were some other sketchy transactions on my card going back a couple weeks so I had the card cancelled. I did not call this dude back because I'm pretty sure I know what he was up to. No Good.
this number has called our landline number, 3 times in last 6 minutes !! 1st call i picked up to ask what it was about.. of course wanted my spouse..told them to quit calling with this scam, now they just call and when no one answers they hang up. this is some kind of scam and the lady on the other end is not any good at whatever she is trying to pull !! as I am typing 4th call is coming on... hung up again... thanks jms will be calling and checking all credit cards .
