Yes if you never answer it, they do go away eventually, just do not answer any calls that you do not expect or recognize. I figure if it is important they will leave a message when they do not then I do not call it back I google it and thank goodness I do cause I find all of you folks telling me that these people are bad news.
These people have been calling a few times a day. They just called for the 3rd time in 1 hour. I finally picked up the phone. The guy with a foreign accent said he was calling from Robert Alan to invite me to a siminar. I told him "Not interested" and to stop calling me. He thanked me and wished me a good day before hanging up. We will see if they stop calling me.
This person on the other end said this call was from Robert Allen, an investment specialist, and that him and his team is coming to town. I told him not to call anymore and to remove my name from thier list.
This is a number that has called me before and no one answers. Finally today Feb 3,2010 someone answered. They said I had ordered a GOOGLE Tool Kit back on July 16, 2009 and I did. They said I didn't cancel, which I did on July 17 and had the bank stop any further payment after they charged by card twice. Now they are claiming that I owe them $224.00 and they are going to turn this over to the Credit Bureau. These people are suppose to have my mailing and email address and never sent me a bill before now. They claim that all calls are recorded, so I told them what I said before, I don't owe them any money because I cancelled my membership. DO NOT fall for this. IF YOU DO, CALL YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT YOUR LOCAL BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. DON'T ANSWER THIS NUMBER!
12 calls in one day i.e. every 30 minutes on my cell phone. No ID, no Answer. It has been like that for the last two days: it just does not stop !
The person who shares the line with me at work has answered three phone calls from them today asking for me. I don't even know how they got my direct line, since it's not a number I give out. They haven't identified themselves and when I tried to call them back at this number to tell them to stop calling, the call could not go through.
