Receiving telemarketer calls from 2 different phone numbers (6183538666 and one starting with 815 which left no record of the number on my cell phone). Caller states my phone number was chosen for a gift from Marriott, recorded message. Leaves no voice mail ---classic sign of telemarketer. I work with office of Attorney General State of Illinois. This company will be charged for violating the no call list!

I was charged also for this number and 1-801-468-4033 (fax), and from a Marriott hotel room when I thought I was faxing to a toll-free number; especially since it was an error on the part of Marriott in having incorrect guest records for my Marriott stay. I faxed the verification of my staty to them. Marriott should specify on their website that this is not a toll-free number.

Wow has anyone ever heard of Google? Type this number in and first on the list it says Marriott Customer Service. Also, why would a 801 number be toll free? Anyone stop to think that 801 is an area code just like 805?

Or the same as (888), (877), oh wait THOSE are toll-free numbers.

Dear GM -You are not good at customer service to basically state your customers are stupid. You may think we should know that an 801 number is not a free number but it surely does seem that Marriott chose a number that is misleading and unfortunately only angers us when we get a bil. Everyone knows that all the 800 numbers were used up so we went to 888 numbers so it is easy to believe that they ran out of 888 numbers and are now using 801.So this should be noted on your website for us dumb folks that the calls are not free and then we can only be angry at ourselves for not noting the Marriott message. Now I know better I will not call again but will only email or use SKYPE which is as free as one can get with there very inexpensive plans.

I use my cell phone for all long distance calls. I did not use my cell phone when calling this as I also thought it was a toll free #. I was on hold forever, got bill it said 61 mins for a nice $30 long distance call on our home landline. I will not stay at a Marriott by choice again. haha Marriott I am traveling soon with my kids!!!! Hello Hilton!

You are exactly right! I just got billed by a hotel that I was staying at, when I called this number, thinking it was a toll free call. Very easy to mistake it for a toll free call. It definitely needs to be noted that there is a charge to call this number.

HI!This number appears on my phone bill. I was in a meeting at the time, so I don't see how I could be on the phone for 11 minutes and not remember leaving my meeting...

Spirit airlines changed from a 800 # to an 801 number. Nobody ever answers and leaves you hanging forever..

Had to call this number in response to an order I placed to redeem points. While I was on hold, I googled the number and found this article (I suspected this was not toll free). I asked the associate if they have toll-free. He didn't know why it wasn't clearly stated in the email, but he said you can call the main Marriott number and they can connect you if you need to call them toll free direct. I was only on hold for maybe 5 minutes. My order email referenced 866-787-8970.
