I didn't answer, no message left, caller ID blank. Fits spam profile.

Let me preface this report with the following information:First of all, I received a call about 90" previous to the call received from 817-440-7862...I received a call from 817-440-7875 at 6 PM March 30, 2016...it rang about 5 times, then they hung up. I googled this number and found reports that it was a telemarketer/scam call.Later, same night at 737 PM, a call came in from 817-440-7862...note the same area code and prefix which would seem to indicate that this nefarious creep was 'phishing'...I decided action was called for. I answered the call with 'Sheriff's Department' in a very stern voice...had to repeat it twice but then a somewhat panicked male voice responded by apologizing for his call to a 'wrong number' and scrambled to end the call.I suspect that I won't be receiving any more calls from this particular swamp dweller but blocked both numbers for good measure.Additional information: 817-440-7862 seems to have some kind of connection with a company called 'Brooks Fiber Properties of Texas'...I did a search on this company, found a listing for the 'company' name that showed they were located in Missouri at 314-878-1616...I called this number and it is reportedly 'no longer in service.'

Stated up front they were a debt collector and wanted to speak to the woman in the house. I told them that the only females in my house were dogs. At that point she apologized and hung up

Received a call from this number at 9:18pm. Did not answer. Did not leave a message. Get calls looking for the person who use to have this number..

Got a call from this number at 6:16 pm . No message - just says SSI in caller id. Got another call at 817-440-7903 at 8:41 pm with same caller ID. No message left. I blocked both calls. Scam city!
