Asked for me, then asked to verify my age. I asked who they are, and he said he's not a telemarketer or anything, but wanted to discuss "personal business." He was immediately getting very defensive. I said I didn't feel comfortable sharing information and he was very rude in his response and said he's not asking for any info, that he already has it and wants to verify it. Then he read the date again. I got scared at that point, and just hung

I answered my phone, said hello. I heard breathing so I said hello again, with out saying a word they hung up. Wierd.

Just like everyone else, lots of calls. I answer, they don't respond or just hang up. If I don't answer, they don't leave a message. Screw them. Checking a few other sites, it seems the number is from Avante, a collection agency. They've been rated "Poor" by the BBB for abusive tactics in their attempts to collect on debts, whether they're valid or not. Even if you deny owing they'll threaten you. Best advice? Don't answer.

I answered the phone, they said nothing. The next time I let it go to the answering machine. They said nothing.

Calls 2-3 times a week, do not answer calls from unknown numbers and since reading the above comments, I am glad I haven't answered. This number should be reported to the police.

Calls and leaves no message. I don't know anyone in Texas and don't answer calls that leave no message and consider them SCAM!!!!

Regardless of who they are, they're using a spoofed number. Legit or not, if they can't identify themselves by something other than "this is a business-related call," they can pound sand.
