I've spoken to a young lady who claimed her name was Marquita Bowland at the 855-744-5688 phone number. I was asked the same questions as the previous respondents. The caller was very pleasant and professional but when I asked her what company she represented, she was very evasive and just said that she was a "broker" who was very knowledgeable in answering all Medicare related questions. I asked her several times what company she worked for but she never told me so I waited until 10:00 @ night and called the 855-744-5688 number and a voice message identified a company named Streamline. I left a message for Ms. Bowland to Not Call Me Again.
quote by DaveC;"I've received several calls from this outfit. So far just being very helpful with signing up for Medicare; answering questions about Medicare, etc."My call logs showed they tried to call us but my system blocks robocallers not in our contact database. Others complain that they are selling insurance or trying to get you on a referral list. Never give *any* personal information to unsolicited callers. Even saying you have a Medicare card may put you on yet another telemarketing list that targets people of Medicare age.
Received a call from 855-744-5688 number. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, especially when the caller id is just the supposed phone number. No message left. I don't know about the "Streamline" outfit, but this smells like a scam/"phishing oh phones" outfit. Trouble in the making.
I received a call from Jan stokes dec. 2. She was calling asking if I received my red, white, and blue medicare card. She said she couldn't answer any questions but there were staff from Medicare that could. I asked her why I would need a card because I already had one. She said I was 'aged out' and it could mean a difference in my benefits. I called medicare and they don't make calls and don't know her. I also called back and the voicemail identified itself as Streamline.
I received a calll from a lady by the name of "RAINA" and she left a message on my answering machine. She said she was with Streamline and asked me to return her call. She said she was checking to see if I had received my medicare card , I thought it was strange to get this call but I called back but was told Raina was busy and she would give her the message that I had not received my medicare card and they would call me back in a week. I believe it listed the number as unknown but she left the number listed above (855-744-5688). If they have called I don't know as I do not usually answer "unknown number".
Had 2 calls from Markeyla Bowlin , was very nice and informative. Called medicare and they said they don't call like that. I googled streamline and I do think it is a insurance company. Don't think I want to do something like that over the phone. It might be liget but these days you have to be very careful. I want to talk to a person I go to.
Left message . I cheked the number against a letter from medicare, no similar number found.Checked the web for reviews and found they were data mining for insurance companies!
I did not answer at first but it started recording saying she was calling for me(my first and last name) to see if I had received my red & blue medicare card. I said yes and she said she wanted to make sure it was ready for me to use in June. I told her I started using it in April. (I regret that). She asked if I had any questions, I said no and we hung up. I have been worrying about talking to her ever since. I normally do not pick up calls that say toll free but when I listened I felt like it was ok.
I received the same call and called back and was very pleased with the service. They identified themselves as Streamline and as a private company and explained the benefits in great detail. I switched from my local agent supplemental and signed up with a supplemental plan thru them and had a great overall experience and bottom line they saved me money.
I just received a call from 855-744-5688 wanting to speak with my husband. I told her he was not home and she politely got off the phone before I had a chance to tell her my husband had died last year.No doubt she will call again and I can explain it then.My issue is: I informed Social Security shortly after his death last year, why don't they (SS) flag this in their system so the families do not have to deal with all the calls / mailers coming our way for Medicare assistance for our dead loved one?
