ANSWER THIS CALL. It's MBNA Canada's credit card fraud department and they detected 2 fraudulent charges on my card. They reversed the charges, thankfully. If you REALLY have a doubt, call them back with the number behind your card. I did this and they pretty much repeated the notes that the other operator wrote on my file. As for the text messages, they are legit. Paypal uses the same system. If you don't answer (I didn't at first since I missed it), they will call you instead. In response to Melere, the call has a delay after the text if it isn't answered. The folks at the call center don't necessarily cancel those upcoming calls.
Same story as everyone else. I checked my transactions and it was listed, as the text said. I called my card's fraud dept and they cancelled my card, with a new one coming in the mail. Then guess who called me twenty minutes later? This scam number. They had MBNA's voice message system and everything. But it couldn't have been them because we'd just sorted the issue.
Check number out and found it to be the fraud department of MBNA credit card
Exactly like what all the other callers said. Accurate full name and financial institution read in prefect automated English. As always, call with the official numbers listed on the back of your credit card instead of whatever any voice message says.
I received a call today. They claimed that there was fraudulent activity on my credit card and that I should call them back at this number 1-855-828-6720. Do not call them back as this is a SCAM. Call only the number on the back of your credit card to verify any questionable activity.
I received first a TEXT indicating fraudulent activity may have occurred with my CC and to reply Y if i authorized it or not, Then 15 minutes later it was followed up with a call to my phone, which i did not answer.
Received calls from this number in the past few days. Claiming there was fraud activity and I needed to call them back to verify. Unfortunately these people had also gotten ahold of the last 4 digits of my card number and spoke perfect automated English which gives the impression that they are legit. They are NOT. Do NOT call the number back, instead, if you are worried, call your card company back using the number they provide on the back of your card and verify any information.
