The next time they call, be a little rude yourself. More than likley, they have a way to put your phone number in their do not call system, And their computer system will not allow your phone number to be dialed from that office. But maybe the person you have got is too lazy to do that extra step, or they have in illusion that they might get in trouble bput because they should have been able to make the sale instead of removing a name. I work for a company that uses an autodialer and we are tolde if they ask to be taken off the list, do it. You're not going to sell them anyway. So the next time they call, tell the person in an angry voice that you have told several people to take you off the list, you hav e their number on your caller ID and you are going to report it to the authorities. Chances are, that will scare the person on the phone a nd that person will go in and remove your number.
I fell for one of those ads that said "get an instant life insurance quote now. We'll find you the lowest".Thought that meant it would show up on the screen after answering a few basic questions. Of course, 1 question was phone #. A little Flash presentation runs across the screen mimicing a computer 'computing' and then they announce that you'll be contacted by an agent.....Guess who this is? One of the untold # of agents they sold my cell phone # to.Like many 'hang ups', they're automated telemarketers. In the old days, a telemarketers had to dial manually, sit and listen to "ring, ring, ring" wasting valuable time. Nowadays, the automated system calls phone #'s until it detects an answer tone. Then 15 minutes or so later, the call is routed to a human to contact you on the premise a "live one" has been located. Saves their valuable time this way!
got a call from 1-858-309-3000. like everyone else thought I was going to get a quote online. Yeah right! what was i thinking Come to find out by googleing the number I find that it's Matrix Direct. These people are so rude. I have asked three times to have my number removed. One person said okay and said it was done, two days later another call. I had asked this person to remove me and he hung up on me. They are such a waste of time.
They won't stop calling after I told them I was no longer interested. And they would not shut up and listen to me while I was trying to speak. VERY non-professional. Like previous posts, I wanted a quote over the internet.
Calls from this number, googled and now known as Matrix Direct, have been presistent and non stop. When asked for a phone number in the future I will give an old number I don't have anylonger. Of a fax machine number.
Same here, too. Asked for an insurance quote via online - next thing I got "someone will contact you"... I specified clearly that I do not want any phone calls. Oh well, I don't answer any calls I don't recognize.
MATRIX DIRECT in San Diego quoted & sold me 2 (successive) term LI policies, 1st w/ Jefferson National, then when I had to change to a larger benefit amount a yr later it became the RBC Corp. because they no longer sold for Jefferson. Premiums are fair, and service was almost perfect.MD to me's merely a LI broker--not a 'telemarketer'; I contacted them, not the other way around. So I've no complaint to express here, and would instead recommend them when you're shopping for term life.Judging by others comments I certainly hope MD doesn't exhibit a 2-faced Jekyll/Hyde sales nature, depending on who/where you are.
