This number called and said it was from Social security. I suspect it is a spammer because this is not how Social Security communicates.
Recording of simulated women's voice from Social Security Administration. Scam call I have received several times. Don't be a victim by giving your personal information to them.
robo call stating they were from social security and I was to call them back at this number. Obvious scam as Social Security does not make these type of calls.
Got an automated womens voice. Stating she was calling from Social Securtity administration. Please call this number back to discuss criminal use of your social security number. So I called the number back, it was a forein mans voice. Asked how he could help me. I informed him that I just received a call from this number stating my ss # has been illegally used. He asked me to verify my SS#. I asked him to verify the address he was calling me from. He started to get nasty with me because I would not give him my SS#. I asked him to simply verify where his company was located, before I would give him my info (which I wasn't going to anyway). He started to swear at me and asked me why I was wasting him time. He said just give me the information that I am asking for. I said so you can scam me... He said some nasty choice words to me and hung up. I am so tired of all these stupid calls I receive.

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.

Evidently gets next if kin names from obituaries and calls them all, over and over. Will not say what they are calling about until you give birthdate and ssn of the deceased.
