Scam call allegedly from Social Security. But from Social Security department not from Social Security Administration which is correct
I won't answer these calls, but others say it is Spectrum which I have for Internet Access and Phone. They've called me on 7/11, 7/10, 7/08, 7/06, 6/30, and 6/26 lately. If this keeps up I'm going to get on the Federal No Call List for Telemarketers.
I get a call from this number, they get to the answering machine, then hang up. Whatever they want it's not important enough to leave a message. :-)Caller ID shows number only.
This number called my cellphone, but did not leave a message. Glad to know it is Spectrum. Now I can add it to the list of blocked numbers they use. I have no interest in speaking to these people.
Robert, getting on the Federal No Call List will do you no good to stop these calls. Since you are doing business with Spectrum already, they are exempt from the Do No Call List in your case. The best you can expect to do is block the numbers they use or send them immediately to voice mail. To be honest, the Do Not Call system is kind of a joke.

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
