Called 3 times this morning (very early), I answered the third call and they asked for my husband, I told them he was gone to work and they asked for his number but I told them I didn't have it . I asked if I could help with something and they hung up on me. They didn't say where they were calling from, just hung up. A reputable company would not just hang up they would at least leave a message with me and a return number...I think scam.
I am not associated with Paypal but as per the comments above I did check my actual PayPal account. No harm in checking in on my actual account, and it actually was at a -$51 balance. So, my advice to anyone getting calls from this number is to at least check you PayPal account especially if you haven't been using it because there could be fraud or someone else using it.
never give in to their questions and never confirm on any information they are asking you or else you will be scammed. Confirm the identity and business of this caller and not the other way around... The best question would be,,, Hello Mr, stranger caller, what is your proof that you are from these and that legitimate businesses you are calling on their behalf. Do you have anything for me to ascertain the veracity of your intention?
