I continue getting calls from this number even with the message that this is the 2nd and last call on your claim. I have no idea who they are but wish they would stop calling me!
research department from your bill payment service. Have no idea who it's from. The quality of the call from them was terrible, can't believe it is a legitimate call.
The caller called my direct office line and my cell phone. Perhaps a retail or credit services sold my phone numbers or someone stole them. I rarely give out my cell number and the businesses that have my cell number usually have my email address as well. The caller left a vm on both phone #'s and said: "My name is Abigale from the Research Dept. on your bill payment services on a recorded line. We received your inquiry request # 13343556. Call us back for additional information and refer to request (note here that she changed the terminology from ' inquiry' to 'request') # 13343556."I will not call back. If the call is important, I will receive it through another means.
If someone calls you from this number, do not trust them. DO NOT give out any information to them.
Pretty much the same as above. I wouldn't give them any info. The woman was very persistent. I had to hang up on her.
I just received call from this number saying they need to verify my banking information and they were going to connect me with American Express on a third party conference call. what's scary is I received an email and a letter apparently connecting this all together but everything looks legit on my end from banking and credit card data. Obviously a common enough number with obscure resource as to where these calls are really coming from.
Same here, my dad received 2 calls from this number: 1 (866) 400-6972 and said I owe $400 with a ref #.they asked what bank so I said 5/3 that's all. What should I do since I have out my bank brand?
My credit union uses their services for tracking delayed checks of their automatic bill payment services. They called up me and the payee for tracking a check that I reported delayed. I was in doubt about the number and contacted the credit union for verification.
After emailing the Paytrust bill pay service (owned by Intuit) regarding a problem with my account, I received a call back from this number. The caller was an Indian working for a firm hired by Paytrust to handle customer support issues. He did not work for Paytrust, but was calling on their behalf. Apparently they provide support to more than one bill pay service.
