These sonofabitches had started to harass extended family members with their phone calls!
Just got a VERY abusive call from this number. It's Northstar and they are completely irresponsible. Refused to put a supervisor on the phone and began swearing at me and calling me names, etc .... I could go on forever. There should be laws for these idiots.
This person from the same # listed here 866 677 2569 has been calling me constantly,This call is not for me as I don't owe any credit card anything not a 0.I told her yesterday the "Ms. I am your friend" not to call my house, so tonight she did the same.Told me I was rude and she shall call me every night !I would love to put a end to this fool and her calls to my house!
This guy is looking for a family memeber, told him they don't live here and he demands their new number. I hang up, they call me again, this time a supervisor, I told him to remove my number. even offered to have them send their info to my home and I will forward to the person they want, but don't call me again. I sited the FDPCA which says they have to stop calling you and he said I don't know what I am talking about and starts to yell at me!! I hung up, filing a complaint on Monday with State of Florida!
I receive repeated calls at work from someone called Jeanie Rodriguez. She tries to sound like a lawyer and the calls are always a threat that she "has to make a decision against you" by 5:00. She gives a case number that sounds like a court case but it very obviously is not. She does not identify who she represents or what the debt is. You know, reasonabble creditors who remain professional and are not abusive will be first on my list when I can pay - meanwhile, these people show us the ugliest side of our jerk-afflicted culture. I will NEVER have another credit card or debt. Never.
That is clear grounds for a lawsuit for violation of the FDCP act. It's against that federal law to make baseless threats or any threats with no intention of carrying them out. If they said you would be sued, then didn't follow through, that's a violation.
Technically, he was right, only because it's the FDCP Fair Debt Collection Practices act, not the FDPCA. If you said what you typed, you just had the C and the P reversed.
I have been getting a phone call from this company for several weeks. Thank you caller ID. I do not answer 800 / 866 numbers and noone has ever left a message. Finally today they left a message for someone I do not know, so I called them back. I informed them they had the wrong number. They insisted on calling my by a wrong name, and emotionally abused me when I asked them to please remove my number. They stated that Bank of America gave them my name and number as a way to contact the person they were looking for. I called back to see if my number had been removed, and it hadn't. After 2-3 calls, I think I finally have it removed.
