1-866-686-4228 within Hawaii was not recognized but claimed to be First Hawaiian, and wanted to inquire about suspicious credit activity. Called First Hawaiian Bank directly through their normal number (808) 844-4444 and verified the number: the person at 844-4444 verified that 686-4228 is a legitimate number, and is their fraud department.
as did "no problem", i called the bank and they verified the number is for their fraud dept. Recommended returning the call otherwise a freeze might be put on the account in case card was stolen
I too got a call from this number claiming to be fraud/security department of First Hawaiian Bank. She did not ask for any personal information (SSN or DOB) but just wanting to verify charges on my card. After my conversation with her, I called the bank and verified that it is really their fraud/security department. I'd say this is an accurate number and not just a scam.
