This is a scam. My RBC representative called the number and got lots of gobbledygook from the person at the other end. My rep told me that RBC -Does not use robocalls. Any call from RBC will be from a person, or they will contact by mail if phone calls don't work. -Does not use collection agencies or any other affiliation on their behalf to collect debts. -Does not call about late payments that might be accidental. Everybody misses the occasional payment. If you phone, sometimes the person on the other end sounds reasonable; however, -never give ANY information over the phone such as credit card numbers, birth-dates, addresses, bank balances, your full name, passwords, your bank's address and so on. These scams are sophisticated and can do a lot with any information they have on you. But it's best to just to ignore the calls and never reply to robotic calls.
This is a phishing call. If you call RBG and find you missed a payment, that is just a coincidence. One missed payment will not result in phone calls 3 times a day. Don’t give out any personal information over the phone to a company that calls you unsolicited - regardless of what number you see on your call display, it is likely spoofed.
I just received the call myself, had the wrong name and postal code. Waited for their representative and we chatted, they wouldn't give me any info of who I was but just wanted information about from me to verify their records. They couldn't even tell me what the issues were about or why they called, they just wanted info. In this day and age, I can't imagine anyone giving personal information out over the phone Bottom-feeders.....
NOT A SCAM- it's really Royal Bank automated service - when I called, the auto service let me know I missed a minimum payment on my card.
