Iron Mountain; our acct has been paid in full for over 2 years. The company failed to be accurate in accrediting pmt to acct. We terminated their service, as a result in negligence.
We have not used Iron Man for over a year now. Claimed we had outstanding invoice from last January; 2022. Had difficulty understanding. I research unknown numbers; the claims of fraud are outrageous. The caller even mentioned she had an extremely long extension to call back. Caller was offended I did not present means of payment.
This number called me and left message- they had my former company name. We DID use Iron Mountain for archival destruction but it was not a regular thing. So they do look up people and numbers from old Iron Mountain records. That company does not exist anymore and hasn't since 2013. They said the invoice for $40 was overdue since 2017. Yeah... I will call you RIGHT BACK... Voice was a very garbled accent- sounded purposely hard to understand if that makes sense.
Called and left a message on my work voicemail saying we owe over $600 in invoices. Considering I manage patient data and have nothing to do with payments I assumed it was a scam, especially because the message was very difficult to understand.
A female left a voicemail on my work phone saying we owed Iron Mountain $273.21 for a "severely delinquent" invoice. The recording was very garbled and hard to understand. We do not have a vendor by that name in our account payables system. I deleted message - scam.
KNOW THIS, that is a digital voice leaving the BOGUS scam message on your phone it is not a real person, let your answering machine record it and then play it back, digital recordings played thru a phone line has a series of clicks and audio click backs, with this scam they over run the original so you cannot hear some parts clearly on purpose. WHY because it's a timed record digital file. PURE SCAM - We got one phone call, calling themselves Iron Mountain, not looking for anyone in particular, gives some bogus invoice number with a odd dollar and cents total. The message ends with a long extension number to call, also a scam because this entire call is staged from more then likely oversees. Block the number and go on about life. The real Iron Mountain can be found on the internet and all their numbers start with 1-800 and they do not do any kind of collections PERIOD - PURE SCAM
