I just received a letter from USAA with this number. Call the main USAA line. They where able to verify the letter was real. The number was correct. When it doubt always use the main line number.

I disagree with those who claim the call is legit. The caller wants personal identifiable information over the phone. The number given can be spoofed both directions, the phone number can belong to a scammer who can play the impressive recording, as well as displaying anything on the caller id. The caller stated the purpose is to provide continuation of financial services and bank account, both of which we DO NOT have. The caller said the information cannot be rendered, to USAA, on their web page. Furthermore, my account on their web page has no requests for such information. I requested they send their request, in writing, through the mail, which they did not do.

This is LEGIT USAA. I also called the main USAA number and they confirmed this service is used when they need more info on an account. I opened up an account listing a family member as a beneficiary and they just needed to verify their info. For people saying this is a scam, it isn't. It just isn't actually coming from a USAA phone number, but it is a legitimate USAA call. Maybe people should do a little research before reporting on here something is a scam just because they don't know the number.

Someone called my dad about my account telling him that they needed my information and sent me this number to call, looked a little sus because it wasn’t the regular USAA number so I looked it up and found this page, thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Just received a letter with this number, letter head and info declaring they are usaa, wanting to confirm my checking account. I have NO checking account with USAA, so yeah, it’s a scam.

Received letter supposedly from USAA saying needed additional information for my banking account. Have no banking with USAA. Called their regular number and they verified they had not contacted me. This is a scam.

The person who called me identified himself as Jonathan from USAA stating he needed to. Verify some account information. I started the process but abruptly stopped concerned it was a scam. He said I would see the information USAA needed to verify. I logged in a month later and didn’t see my account was flagged for an additional info. Must have been a SCAM!
