My naive a$$ got scammed lights were turned off right before thanksgiving so I applied for a loan because I was and am even more in of help. This number called me and I unknowingly gave up my bank account info and they deposited money into my account which I used to turn my heat and lights on and it was fake now I owe electric company and the bank over 350.00. Someone please help what have I done. I work for Wendy's in Knoxville TN. I barely make enough to keep my head above water and now my stupidity has drowned me.
Same call and recording received 12/1/17 on my cellphone. However, my recording has a little more at the beginning: "We have just received a notification regarding your tax filings from the headquarters which will get expired in next 24 working hours. And once it gets expired after that you will be taken under custody..." The term "tax filings" in the message means this is definitely an IRS impersonation scam.
