This number calls me daily. Never leaves a message. Who are they? What do they want? From what I see above it looks like a law firm scam?? I dont think I received any mail from them. But I could have been mistaken.

I get a voice mail they are from morris cobb attorney at law a debt collector. Haven't tried to call back

I have had the same situation...harassing phone calls for nearly 3 weeks from the agency described in the posts above, different attorney names...I was told Maury Cobby. and in a previous call Hobbs, even spoke to the same Latrice, telling her that I do not owe any credit card bills, and that I do not want any more calls from their office....yet, I got more phone calls after that. here's my story...I received a call Feb 3, 2014. The person wanted me to identify myself, but refused to identify their company name, or the reason they were calling, even though they used my correct name. I did * 69 to find out who they were, it is still unclear, however I suspected they were a debt collection, because telemarketers do not usually have your name. I spoke to the person that answered, saying that I had just received a call from their offices, and that their person had hung up on me when I asked for identification. I asked that they send a letter regarding the reason for their call so that I could dispute it....again, making the assumption it must be a mix up. They have now called me everyday, sometimes multiple times for nearly 3 weeks. I called yet again, 2 days ago, Feb. 19, 2014...after doing * 69...I asked to speak to a supervisor....The answerer stated that she was a supervisor and that her name is Latrice...Again, stating that they had never sent a letter within the 5 days of the initial call...and that I considered the repeated calls harassing....I demanded that they do not call me again...and told them I was going to contact FDCPA. I also asked for and received their mailing address...That is what has brought me to your site. I researched regarding this phone number from which I have been receiving the calls..877-369-3667, I was unable to locate a lawyer by the name Latrice gave me, or an agency name...The name she gave me was Maury Cobby, Attorney at law, the address she gave was 600 Beacon Parkway West, suite 300, Birmingham, AL Before concluding the call I restated that they should not call me again....She repeated that to me..."You don't want us to call you again"...Th same day, and the 2 days since I have again received hang-up calls from that phone number. I wanted to complain....but, i am really not clear as to what they persist in calling me about....even on the phone "Latrice" did not say...I told her that if you are a collection agency, then I am denying any debt, as i do not have any outstanding credit. Along with researching, i was able to find at least two separate websites that list this same number...with multiple complaints of repeated hang up, harassing phone calls from the same number...but multiple attorney names were given by this company... I did the research and found multiple complaints against them, using their phone number on spokeo as well here. Further research showed me how to report them: help.consumerfinance.gov/tellyourstory Hopefully there is an agency that can put a top to the harassing calls. Thankful for pages like this so that w can voice our complaints and experiences with companies like this.
