Called from Law Firm, represent a client for Ch.7 bk, took attorney information and said no more collection calls would be made to the client, seems this place is aware of FDCPA regulations, may be irritating, but at least they appear to be playing by the rules.
Wow I like that! I am self employed and even though I pay I am a little late. Late means everybody you owe calls 16 times a day even if you pick up and answer and give them when you are going to pay it auto dials every phone attached to you. So i would love to forward all of them back to them! Wippie!!
I got a call from this number and the voice mail left says they are looking for someone else and they are calling from the Michigan City Social Security office. The number they say to call back is 866-248-2396 which also identifies themselves as the Michigan City Social Security office. Very strange - especially since I don't have any loans and I have no clue who the person is they are looking for or why they identify themselves as Michigan City Social Security Office.
I have an obligation to Check and Go, but unable to meet that obligation due to health as it has robbed me the ability to work and now find myself on disability. I simply don't have the monies to meet my obligation. They can take the loss off of their corporate taxes. That is best for them to do so. Jack
Has anyone ever been actually taken to court by these people or do they just get sick of calling and write it off?
These guys WILL constantly call all of your references if they can't speak to you. I defaulted with them several months ago when my husband was laid off and they have called every day several times a day. We have finally gotten to a place where I can start paying them and they offered to settle for 1/2 as long as I set payments with a credit/debit card. Half is probably what my principal is. Those 4 payments are once a month also so I'd say they can actually be pretty reasonable once they get to talk to the loan holder.
they sell your info also which causes you many headaches...then you get calls from foreigners with threats and scammers taking money out of your bank acct which causes you to have to close your acct and then even if you tell them you had to close acct they keep putting debits thru till they cause you problems at your bank...then they destroy your credit.....just another loan shark.
