This is the phone number for the department that handles accounts that have been overdrawn, I wasn't called by the number but I was told the number by BB&T when I wanted to inquiry on my overdrawn account and when I was told they could not help me they told me to call this number. Ultimately this number could not help my situation. Sort of stink because she didn't mention what time the offices where open with the number only that they were open during the weekdays. It is indeed a legitimate phone number from BB&T and I believe this is just the office trying to get the money that you owe the bank.

Business call from BB&T. Joint account with daughter that went in the red. We paid up and closed it b/c she now has another account.

Got another call.Didn't answer. We have been getting these calls on the land line and on both of our cells. We get them on different numbers. Would love to stop them. We are on the DONOTCALL list, and recently updated. IT doesn't stop these idiots.

This number is legit. They are giving you a chance until day X to pay the overdraft. If you choose NOT to do and deny their calls, they will for sure report your name to collection agencies and worse. If you never had an account with them they most likely are NOT looking for you but the person who had the number before.

2nd time I have gotten a call from this number claiming to be BBT bank, I dont have an acct with this bank

Just got the same call. very strange. Sounded like she said "BDNT", but a search came up with nothing. Southern accent as well.

The bank is BB&T -- Branch Banking & Trust. They own several other local/regional banks, loans and investment entities. If you're getting a call from that number, they think you owe them money OR your account is overdrawn.
