888-295-5540 Unknown Name; was caller-id & left no message. Typical traits of solicitors/scammers/etc. Never can trust a call from 'unknown name'.

Message indicateing they were a card fraud agency with important information requiring an immediatereturn call.

Received a message. It gave me the phone number, no company name. I called the 888.295.5540 number and they prompted me to put in the last 4 digits of my SSN, still no company name. Yeah, right - that's what I do, just give out my SSN. Are they crazy?!

Received email saying my application for "first bankcard" was approved. As I didn't apply for one I called the number associated with it. They told me they couldn't find my application even with the reference # which I had recvd in the email and need my SSI#! No way I said. Claimed to be bank of omaha. Became irrate when I didn't believe them. But no supervisor to talk to.

I just waited long enought without answering any computer generated questions, and finally got a person to talk to.

I did receive a call like that today - After looking at Mike's comment I called First national Bank and they did call me to give me information pertaining to my account.

I concur with others that this *is* a valid phone number for "First National Bank." But....After reading online reviews about "First National Bank" I hesitate doing business with them. (Details: I applied online for a credit card. Weeks later I received a "welcome package" in the mail. I am still awaiting my actual credit card to arrive. If/when it does, it's questionable whether I will actually *use* it.)
