I thought I was calling Sam's Club to ask a question about my card as it was not working. I could not read the small numbers on the back of the card even with a magnifying glass so I reached a number that I thought was Sams. They said they could help me They asked me a lot of personal questions and told me they could help me. They got my social security number. When I said I did not want to give that out. they said I called them and they did not call me and if I needed help I had to prove who I was by giving a lot of my personal information. It was taking a long time and I got scared then and thought maybe it was a scam so I hung up. I cancelled my other credit cards and made a report to the three credit bureuas and also the Federal trade comssion fraud line. Karen Dulany 6-28 2022

Sam's Phone number printed on the back of card is so small we had to use a magnifying glass and still got it wrong because the 6's and 8's are so hard to make out. When I called the wrong number, and asked why my credit card was denied on the Sam's website, I got scammed. They said I just needed an authorization code and they collected personal info then put me on hold and never came back. After rechecking the phone # on the back of the card, I saw where I misdialed the 6&8 numbers. Had to cancel my Sam's card and reported to the credit agencies. So far I have received 5 fraud alerts.
