received same call as all other commenters. did not call back.`
All same as comments below. Rose called and when I called back and asked for her was told she was in a meeting. I politely (I thought) asked to not call me when I was asked for my address and vehicle information. When I was asked to verify my name and they said my last name, they used my maiden name. I corrected them saying that was my maiden name and my married name was different, the telemarketer started making fun of me saying "ooh ooh now you are married, I guess he put a ring on it then?" I said "what is happening right now?" And was then asked for my address and partners' name. I didn't give any information but again asked not to be called when the vehicle they had on file was wrong. The telemarketer yelled at me saying not to cuss at him and then hung up. Yikes, it was awful and sorry to anyone else who goes through this.
Scam and do not provide them info. They do not have your vehicle's info and will ask leading questions such as your address is or your last name is to get you to confirm. Avoid them. Same exact script when left me a voicemail as mentioned in the previous comments. They use a scare tactic saying your behind. I called them back 3 times to get their info and they finally provided me a different company name-Nationwide. They described that they were the dealership's administrative vehicle warranty company of where we purchased the vehicle. The 2nd time they hung up on me. The 1st time they explain what the warranty offers and when we questioned them more they kept on talking over us telling us we were past due by 30 days and owed $195 & if we didn't pay they will put a lien on the car. Trying to scare us to coerce us into paying and to control and bully us in the conversation . We questioned aggressively back and then stated to us since we live in CA that the offer was voided and hung up. If they continue to use Nationwide as their name and since that name is familiar to people I feel it is to to make people feel comfortable to trust them. Please Do Not. I wish i could give no stars. I am forced to give them a 1.
Probably a scam. This is the transcription of the message. No mention of my name, my vehicle make and model, or what company they are with. I’ve received no calls or mailers about my actual car, and get it serviced regularly at the dealership. Also an annoyed sounding tone at the part that says “not sure why we haven’t heard from you”. “Hi _____ this is Rose I was calling regarding the factory warranty on your vehicle we actually called you several times and we've also sent out mailers to your home so I'm not quite sure why we haven't heard back from you yet in any case it's imperative that we speak to you today in order to keep your file open so please call me at 18888129518 in order to keep your file open um thank you so much for your immediate attention to this matter and I hope we can connect soon bye for now…”
Scam alert--lady named "Rose-- selling fake car repair warranties... Beware!
Claim to be a company called Vehicle Protection Services. It's a scam. BEWARE!
Claims auto warranty issue and that it is imperative that I contact them today before my file is closed. “Rose” is the human on the phone, but never gives name of dealership or auto make/model.
Comes up Junko Roofing. Something about repo-ing a car if I don't pay the warranty.
The message is clipped at the beginning, but then goes like this: "we've sent mailers to your home, so I'm not quite sure why we haven't heard back from you yet. In any case, it's IMPERATIVE that we speak with you TODAY in order to keep your file open. So, call me back at 1-888-812-9518".
