Answered call as it's my same area code although I didn't recognize the number. Bad signal on my cell so I couldn't hear much except I thought I could piece together words "security system." Asked where he was calling from and he said "Florda."
i got a call from a lady with an oriental accent and was told i was chosen for a free home security system , you could hear people in the background laughing. i said i wasnt interested and was told ma'am but this is a great opportunity its free installation and free for a year & again i stated i wasnt interested!it seems like a scam to me .
A couple of suggestions: (1) NEVER answer a call that you do not recognize; (2) Whenever you fill out an on-line form that requires you to enter a phone number, use a fictitious number or put in the number of your state's Attorney General. Vendors always say they don't share information, but just to be safe ....
These are "robo calls". They pick an area code and dial every seven digit combination of numbers within that area code. Good advice to never answer calls from a number that you do not recognize. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS.
Very rude staff. Informed them to put me on the do not call list and was asked why I would want that. I told them so that I did not get telemarketing calls such as this and was laughed at and again asked why. I informed him that I was going to report them to the do not call registry and was once again laughed at and told that no I would not do that. Little do you know I have and did report you.This call was for changing the batteries in my smoke detectors and security system.
