There are several ways you can get rid of them permanently. One way is to block the entire area code that they call from (since I don't know anyone when those area codes anyway.) That way no matter what phone number they use in an area code, their phone call won't come through. There are Panasonic phones that have features where you can block an entire area code. I block every area code where I don't know anybody that lives there...yes! The other option you can get with some telephone companies is the ability to block ALL phone calls EXCEPT for the phone numbers you list on your account. Or you can set your phone (through the company) to give everyone the busy signal for any time or length of time you want to not be disturbed. Or you can have the phone send all of their phone calls to a phone number that answers with a message to them but they can't leave a message. Or you can send their phone calls to another phone number using automatic call forwarding...I love to forward these kind of calls to the police department or a prison....where the caller belongs! Just be sure that it is not a long distance phone number so you won't be charged for forwarding to a phone number that will cost you long distance charges. Or forward all of their phone calls to the CEO of their company! Now THAT'S JUSTICE! (laugh)
Sorry I posted the name of the product that I use...didn't know it was an issue. Anyway, I never had any problem with spam or robo callers until my phone company employee messed up my account when I renewed for another year. I always paid extra to have my phone number "unlisted" but the employee forgot to make it unlisted for another year and so my phone number got published. Then I started getting these spam and robo calls even though I put my account in "unlisted" status again. The phone company offered to give me a new phone number (probably from someone who got rid of their phone number because of robo calls?) but there is no way that I would be able to notify everyone we have contact with and after so many years with the same phone number it would be a serious problem to deal with to change it. It seems that switching to a cell phone would make the problem even harder to deal with from what I have heard. Anyway, I never answer my phone unless I know who it is and want to talk to him/her/them. I just block any phone number that doesn't identify the person...which includes all "unavailable" phone numbers. Anyone who isn't willing to unblock their identity on the phone doesn't deserve to have their phone call answered...and I let people that I give my phone number to that information. This "survey" company will NEVER have a conversation with me on the phone. I would NEVER go to a web site and give out my name, my age (I refuse to know how old I am!) or my address. Any respectable person knows better than to ask a woman what age she is...that is disrespectful! I don't give out ANY personal info about myself to strangers. Especially one that I can't even see and is probably using a fake phone number, address, and intentions. My life is none of their business!
They say the Do Not Calllist does not apply to them as they are not trying to sell anything. They keep saying I returned a card volunteering for the survey - doesn't seem to matter that's a lie.I called the 800 number and left both my work phone and cell number they keep calling to take me off their list. The calls have not stopped.
After so many call from this bunch of idiots. I called them and told them I was doing a survey about idiots that call me all the time. Please do the same and maybe they will get the hint.
I did a typo. What I mean is that "unavailable" is a phone number that doesn't state who the person is. My phone just says "unavailable."
SInce calling them made no impact on getting them to stop calling me, I went to their website and went to the Contact Us tab. I filled in bogus info, but you can't contact them without agreeing to the privacy rules - which strips you of all privacy and states "if you report on this website, we will also colelct credit card/debit card info on you".How is this legal? Just to try and get them to stop calling they issue threats, in writing.
They called and left a message saying they are doing a survey on radio listening in my area. Since I don't really listen to the radio and they called at 9 PM I'm blocking them.
