Caller ID shows 801-214-9297 but the number displayed is 978-965-2090. Turns out to be some survey.
Just received a call from this company & spoke with some supervisor named "Angela West" (surely not her real name, of course). Stated that company was conducting a "survey."More BS !" Number that appeared on caller ID was 978-965-2090 but she stated the address as being in Salt Lake City, Utah & that the reason a Massachusetts number appears on the caller ID is an issue with my phone company. More BS ! Further that companies conducting surveys are not subject to the Do not Call Registry rules & regulations. More BS ! She really did not care any "S's" out of their continued BS. Stated to me that I would not be called again (again, more BS) but it's a good thing that I happen to work as a prosecutor in the Massachusetts Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division because now I (we) can via legal channels track all of this company's BS despite even that they are obviously emitting false & misleading information & subject them to prosecutorial action. Beware of their BS (& I DO NOTmean 'Bachelor of Science' !)
Don't know where they got my cell phone number. They call and leave no message. Obviously some type of solicitation. I do not answer any phone number that is not in my contacts - which is why I leave my ringer OFF.
found out this came from a REAL survey company called Venture Data. You can google them to find their website. kind of annoying but they're a legit company, not a scam, but they did a political survey with me which was kind of biased, but they didn't ask for any personal information other than how old i was and who I planned to vote for and stuff like that.by the way, ignore Andrew. I really doubt he has the credentials he says he has and i looked at the national do not call list rules at www.donotcall.gov, and it clearly says that survey companies ARE exempt from the National Do Not Call list. the company has their own internal do not call list, tho. You can find a place on their website where you can put your number on to their do not call list.
