My partner just got a call like this saying she got 7 thousand dollars in funds back from the government. She played along with it for a long time, it was hilarious. My partner started this story that she was a very big corporate person so she maybe wanted to find ways to get the government not to find out about some "off shore" accounts and how she's on her way to Guatemala and her assistant (me) was going to call her back and get details about the business. They hung up, it was hilarious!
THE Caller, Out of area ( displayed as ID on our phone. ). & 1-012-345-6789, called us @ 13:31, 09.08.2015, area code 012 is one of England' area code. www,ftc,gov ( Donotcall ) suggests us not to answer " unwanted call" on the spot and this caller is from England( ? ).This number looks as 0123456789. The caller has used this funny number since 11.12.2007 to call people randomly, I don't know why www.ftc.gov & www.fcc.gov/complains have not found or fined the caller for $.100,000.00 to $.200,000.00 USD?Caller: Out of area.
They are calling saying they are calling on behalf of the government and grants. They are extremely rude and have hung up on me several times when all I have asked was for them to stop calling me. This needs to stop!
I have recieved several calls from 3 different numbers,,,I deleted them but one was a local number for here,,the other either 866,or 877,,not sure,,and this one,,

recieve call from 012-34-56789 at 7:30 am infroming me that the government was giving me 5k grant for paying my taxes over the last 5 years. he wanted me to confirm my id. he had indian accent. i told him our gov do not call you to give you money ever they send letters on everything so send a letter since you have my phone number you know where to send it.
I have received these phone calls and they leave a voice mail but doesn't say anything on it.would like to know how to get this number from calling.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
