Asked for me by name and said they were phoning from Switzerland for (sounded like) Dermos Futura to ask me about skincare. I asked where they had got my details from and the lady, who was polite, called Maya something, told me she didn't have my number as the call had just been transferred on her computer system. So she had my name but not my number. I asked who had transferred the call. I think she then realised that I wanted to know that before anything else and she said that she didn't know how they had my information and apologised for that. I politely declined the rest of the call and she said she understood.. Have found a company on line called DermaFutura with Swiss made products and an internation website, so it might be a legitimate company they are calling on behalf of.
The # i have is 855 256 1398 I guess this is the number that called me I don't pay for this product unless I I like it I have received it and am trying it.
Today they called me in Greece and the most spookie think was that they knew my surname.the woman speaking at the other line sounded like retarded, repeating herself all the time.003361624044 was their number.
Dreadful.Annoying hard sell of cosmetics. Said they would be sending a few items...with no obligation to pay unless they are kept. Was told they could be returned. After a second call from them...in which i said that i was happy to try a sample but otherwise i would not be buying over the phone....the products arrived...with an invoice of about 150 dollars.I promptly took the items to the post office and said return to sender. I dont care where they end up.I emailed the company and advised them that items were returned.I have had one call since..but tefused to answer.
update to above message...They continue to call, wanting payment.I explained that items have been returned and that I don't care how long they take to get to their destination. I did not pay for post tracking.Annoying and aggressive, calls after 8pm at night due to time difference in Australia.Said I would be contacts by their accounts department.Happy to chat to them, but have no extra info to add and that they would be better off concentarting their efforts on someone willing to pay for their items.
My husband took a call from Dermafutura. When I know it is a telemarketer calling I hang up straight away but he likes to talk to them to waste their time and annoy them. Anyway, he ended up accepting an offer to trial Dermafutura products, though he declined to give his credit card details and said he did not want the products if he had to pay for them. When the products arrived there was an invoice for AUS$120. I emailed Dermafutura to say my husband did not want the products and they could collect them from us. Dermafutura insisted we post the products back. Australia Post advised it would cost over AUS$50. I advised Dermafutura that we would not pay for the postage. They told us to take the parcel to DHL. I took this to mean that they would pay for the return of the products. DHL wanted the account number for Dermafutura so I emailed them to ask for their account number. They now say we should post the parcel back the cheapest way we can and they will refund the postage. No way, as this will mean we will have to provide credit card or bank account details for the refund. We will just keep refusing to answer their calls, so hopefully they will give up eventually, but it has been going on for months now.DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.
I got a call today in Greece too, from a woman speaking Greek called Martha! She said she was half Greek, half Swiss and was very convincing! I got cold feet when I checked the number when I saw it was from the UK and not Switzerland as she claimed, did some research and saw all these horror stories!
Just got a call this evening in Greece from Martha who claimed to be a dermatologist who studied in Oxford and was now working in Switzerland. She claimed to be calling from the lab in Lugano but it was a UK number. The conversation started out as a very vague survey about sun block use and she was friendly and rather engaging so I spent some time chatting. She was pushing the Dermafutura men's skin care products and wanted 87 euros for the package. When I made it clear that I don't use such products because my face is just fine, she had to hang up because she was summoned to the production floor. Why would you buy anything from a late evening phone call or any phone call for that matter?
