Got a call from this number from someone telling me that my Windows computer has been sending them error messages for the last 3 months. Knowing about scams I did not give them the information they were asking for. They wanted me to allow them remote access to my computer. When I told them that I know about scams they told me that they were not a scam and were calling from Microsoft. I just told them that I am not going to give them access to my computer and hung up.
I recieved the same call, they just kept trying to tell me to go online, I told them I couldn't at the moment. I will just let the phone ring all day the next time they call. I figured it was a scam right when they tolde me to turn on my computer.
I received 8 calls 2 days ago between 8:30 and 9:25 pm. My first mistake was to answer the first call but nobody spoke. They were probably fishing for a good phone number My husband answered one of the calls and they said something about windows and he hung up. I tried to block this number but could not. I finally put the phone off the hook. I got 3 calls the next evening. And today they started calling again. I reported it to the do not call but don't expect any results since the number on the caller ID is not a good number.
