Well, I've never heard of the men mentioned here, although I haven't been through all 5 pages yet, but I had put a generator for sale on craigslist.com and through that I somehow met a man who said his name is Greg Michael and he also said he lives in New York. Strangely enough he had to go out of the country on business and he went to Nigeria. Very similiar story except that so far, he has not asked me for any money and has been very kind and helpful. However, I have been suspicious from the start because of some of the same things I've read here such as: He refused to give me his phone number but when he refused to call me, I pretty much said this was not normal and if he couldn't even call me or give me his number, that I didn't want anything to do with the whole situation. Later that night he finally called me from a private number of course and just like I've already read here, he had a very strong accent and I could barely understand him. If I ask him questions that would expose him if he answered them truthfully, he just evades the question. It is actually quite comical to me that these men think actually they that American Women are stupid enough to not know when something ain't quite right. I could tell he was a foreigner before I ever heard his voice just from the words he sometimes used. Just thougt I'd also share my story, maybe it will help someone. I will continue talking to him for now because so far, as I said, he hasn't asked me for any personal information or money. I did do a google search on him in the beginning, but his name didn't pull much up. It wasn't until I did a google search on the number that shows up when sends me text messages that I came across all the posts-wish I would have thought about that way earlier. Thanks for your help and good luck to everyone who has dealt/is dealing with this. I just wonder one thing: what is their motive? If it were only money, then this man would have already asked me for money I would imagine, or they would have won your trust and perhaps your love before they asked yall for money-I would have thought?

not to worry. the number is from a messanger. i am a real person, and i promise you there is no scam or anything like that.

Just tell you'll involve police if it doesnt stop. Hope you didnt loose a lot. I lost 2000 once, no chance to get it back, my wedding money.... I had a 160 dollar wedding after that, because that was all we had left. Get over it and become a mean person to people who arent family or friends.

Hi, I was reading your post about receiving text messages from 1110440601. I know it's been a year, but I was wondering if you were ever able to find out who/what it was and was also wondering because you didn't mention, what did the text messages say? I recently started talking online with someone who texts me from that number. Thanks for any help you can give me and good luck.

i have been getting texes from this number it is suppose to be from someone i met on a date site name he claims is jeff papaman has anyone else had this name

I've been talking to him for 2 weeks through match his name is Jeffrey p drumheller that is his yahoo address he says he's in Africa on business and coming back next week. Says he lives in bear creek township , Pa he texts on this number he didn't ask for anything yet because I told him someone else tried to get me to wire money. Luckly I saw this number as a scam even though he didn't ask yet but wanted me ti set up yahoo messinger to talk. I'm afraid cause I don't know who or where he is we r still in contact so if I can help let me know

I just got a text from this same number. I found it funny because the person sending the text (jasmin0yhkct) said a friend gave 'her' my number "and said we should meet up some time" and provided a link to 'friendonly.net', which is a non-existent site. Well, I should say that it links to 'candytwist.com'. Anyhow, I found this suspect because none of my friends would give my phone number to some stranger. Who in their right mind would do that without permission. If this happens again and my 'friend' is not named, then I'll report this to my phone company and just have all texts from Yahoo blocked if possible. I only use Yahoo messenger online anyhow.

I received a text message from the YAHOO IM to my phone she goes by lovery.72392@yahoo.com yesterday she says her name is Valery... I don\'t know who she is I replied back with how she got my number? she replied with my friends boyfriend gave me your number... I don\'t know but whoever that is I think it\'s ALL A SCAM... Im just not even gonna bother with that idiot don\'t know don\'t even care to know who she is... I gotta a family of my own... Like I said I think IT\'S ALL SOME TYPE OF SORT OF SCAM...! the number that is sending me messages comes from this number 11110440601.....

this man told me his name was paul wilson,number 111-044-0601,don't no what to beleive,haven't heard nothing wrong said but the number doesn't go through at all,don't get it but am being cautious
