This individual number has been texting me as well lately and is may be posing as several on Friendango.com as well as on Facebook. Your story has my attention due to the contents and timing as I've been in chat sessions with a female of which appear to be live and interactive with me lately, but only for short periods due to "her" camera and computer having "problems". I've been suspicious of it from the beginning and have suspected that "they" are utilizing several profiles and claim to be from Guttenberg,IA. Your story suggests that they are also evolving their story lines as they go based on other victims stories. You see i am a construction man and believer. Also disturbing is that they may be here in town or in part and may be using computer viruses through computer networking such as wi-fi etc. to intercept traffic online. There is more that I could say reguarding what I've seen (literaly) but am still trying to sort this thing out too! So far no one has gotten any money off me so do be careful! GOD BLESS and keep u !

This is definitely a scammer-he has been reported but don't know what happens then-should be some way to stop/catch these people. This web site came up when I tried to track the number. He is trying to get money through sending a check and asking you to wire money. The check is bogus but looks very real. Apparently there is no way to block the messages on a cell phoe

I was approached by person claiming to be Mary Garrat on Friendango site. The party eventually asked to text me claiming to be deaf. I gave phone number. The texts I received came from this number. The party's yahoo! account was garrat.mary@yahoo.com through its messenger service. Eventually I aquired address of 1015 North third street Guttenberg, IA. 52052. Also same person is on facebook as Mary Garrat. Party claims to live with uncle at given address also claims to be 33yrs old. Party asks for money, etc. I have downloaded chats with party being suspicious of her. She originally claimed uncles' name to be Mike Garrat then in later chat slipped calling him Mike Palmer and herself became Mary Garrat Palmer after I questioned her again. I obtained the address by suggesting regular mail as means of contact but she become evasive at any suggestion of a visit in person. She claims uncle to be on disability, 69 yrs old, and are short on food. Any of my suggestions for other aid has been shot down. Please investigate. He didn’t like the way I was questioning him so he turned on video for me to believe he was not who he said he was. The video showed him texting me and in the background you could see others on computers and there was someone to the left of the screen who was staying out of the video. Lo and behold, he was a black teenager who was very computer savvy. Said his name was Melvin not Chris Robles and that he was an orphan in Ghana and needed $$ so that he could go back to school. He also said he was taught how to do this by a friend. I notified the Army, Yahoo and the secured site he got my profile from. Felt like I was chatting to different people. One was very cerebral and intelligent and the other was a moron with very little command of the English language. I believe the Mercy Wellington mailing address in Ghana is one set up to receive goods sent and money sent in a MoneyGram. If I knew what official to contact in Ghana about this I would. I was foolish enough to send T-shirts, socks a bible and a football; thinking I was sending to one of our US servicemen. He couldn’t answer any questions I pressed him for about what Brigade or zone he was assigned to, he gave wrong ranking for his E9 rank. There were little signs that kept popping up but when he wanted my bank acct. number I told him I was part of Homeland Security and my computer was connected to satellite and was tracking him at the moment. He signed off and has not been back since. Hope this helps someone else so they are not scammed. If you have a cell phone they can get your number (don’t know how) and can send you text messes by using those Yahoo messenger ID numbers.

Got a text from this number from out of the blue at 7pm (cst) claiming that i need to add them on yahoo for a job interview... She claimed her name was Fidelia Woods.. I looked up the name and that person died in the 1800s.. She claims that she works for the company "Global Finance", it's suppose to be a work from home site.

This number is texting me. He got my number from a Craigslist pets wanted ad. He's Nigeria, but claims to be living in Lynchburg, VA. Please help!! Very creepy!!
