When I picked up the receiver and said 'Hello' several times, there was no response at the other end. After four or five attempts to elicit a response, I hung up. My call identifier indicated that the call came from 153-853-5037.

no person on other end. Multiple calls. invalid area code! either spammer, telemarketer or call bot. Why does telephone company allow fake area codes to go through?

When I receive calls from an "out of area" phone number such as this one I let the answering machine pick it up. The idiot on the other end of the line kept saying "Hello" after the answering machine message. I owe no money to a debt collector and all calls that are relevant to me have a non obscure caller id and number. I agree with KW numbers with "invalid area codes" should not be allowed. One more thing, I do not know if these means much but this caller had a distinct "british" accent that reminded me of the one donned by Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

Got 15 seconds of dead air then hung up. My Caller ID too has an invalid area code. If anyone finally figures out who this is, please post. I want to sue them for TCPA or FDCPA violations.

caller id said international ... no one on other end .. hung up..

I've received repeated calls from this number. When answered, an east Indian female was trying to sell some service and would not accept that I was not interested. I finally hung up on her but calls continue.

when i picked up heard nothing as "they" were listening i said hello yess im home and hung up....53 is hiroshima in japa but internationally it is a cuban area code, i guess it was a threat but who cares.... 53 853 5037

I received this call about 15 min ago, but was on phone and would not click over. I do not answer number that I do not know or say unavailable.
