This number calls and hangs up when you answer. May part of a scam to try and get the recipient to call back so they can hit you with erroneous charges.
I have received a call from this number twice in the last few days. No VM. Haven't answered and it looks like it is a good thing that I didn't.
Received a call they said they were I Pro Premium Dept. (sponsored by the BBB and PCI Compliant) The number they called from was 404-445-4194. I did call them back and got more info. They said that I was going to receive a $100 gift card, a $2,000 Savings book and a $25. restaurant card. They asked for my credit card number and I said NO and hung up.
There is no need for them to "forward" the phone call through another number. It is possible for them to have your caller id read out anything they want. If they want to have the caller id show "The White House" with the corresponding phone number they can.
I have received call three times from this number. it rings twice and then they hang up. I never answer a call from a number I do not know. However this is very frustrating.
What i would like to know is whether or not i am going to be charged for the phone call. It was a missed call like the rest of you. Same company. But ""somehow their routing their calls so that they appear as if coming from your own area code"". It was from my area code and i naturally called it since it was similar to cell phone numbers in the area. People please quit posting things that were already said 20 times already.
I just received a call from 201-279-5863 and 'Yes, It Only Rang Once', then ZILCH...... I guess they are either on their way to get another prepaid phone, or pack their bags to relocate right now. Oh well, 'KARMA' will be contacting 'them' at some point I'm sure.! I'm very glad I didn't answer OR call back. :)

Caller wanted personal information and claimed to be from some credit company that does not exist.

just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.

they're trying to get personal and fin info under the pretense of finalizing a loan. they leave (866) 398-2896 as a callback number but actual caller id is spoofed to a different number each time.
