It's a recruting firm, and as much as i find it annoying it is common practice for some recruiting firms to ask for the last 4 digits of your ss#.
I received a call from this number. They are an employment agency or so it seems. They wanted to send my resume to a company and I asked where they were located and they said N.J. I asked if they had a local office here in Arizona and they said no. I wasn't comfortable with that so I told the lady I would call her back. I then tried to call to make sure my resume was not submitted and no one answers the phone and recording says the mail box is full. I don't want them to submit my resume because I have a local agency that is submitting me, at least I know the local agency is legit because I worked for them before and have met them face to face. Why would someone want to work for an agency that doesn't have any offices in their city and whom you've never had a face to face with. I was just uncorfortable with the whole thing.
Im unemployed and drowning in a sea of red ink. Debt collectors calling in triplicate. This firm contacted me via email offering a line on a job that fits my skill set with a location on the VERY street I live on but WITHOUT an exact address number!!?!!! Really? Yet, this NJ number was attached. The sender had a somewhat uncommon and rather exotic sounding female Indian name. Hmmm. Smells fishy. I go to their website. An ambiguous offering of services. But, among the ‘’Financial Services’’ they offer we find ''Credit and Collections’’. How very convenient. So, I ‘FB' the 'unusual name' of the sender….Amazing. The name must be the equivalent in India to ‘Jane Smith’ in the US. From infants to elderly: literally 50 or more. Curiously, EVERY link was to an ambiguous or private posting and by CLEAR deductive logic, unrelated to this firm. Shame on the vultures who prey on bones already picked clean in this economy. No job here. Just panning for updated info for your creditors. The subject turns to rocks: kick em.
Spoke with Mansi from US Tech Solutions and I called the # listed on the email. When I called I got a recording, and then entered ext. There was no answer and as I was leaving a message I received a call and it was the rep, Mansi. She asked me for my email and said she could not find it in their system even though I just got an email from her. Anyway she advised that she would send me a copy of the job description with Honeywell, Job #HONJP00048617-Call Center Specialist.
I didn't get a phone call but an email, on an old account I don't use. Its from US Tech Solutions the persons name I got was Komal Khurana 201-524-9600 ext 255 I called and asked her about the job posting they sent me for HR person for Honeywell. It was strange that they emailed me on an the email I haven't used in 3-4 years, she told me that they had my resume on file and thought I would be interested in the job. I had put resumes out 3-4 years ago but it was for engineering jobs, I never heard back from anyone, so I don't remember if I sent US Tech solutions a resume or not. Well, I ended up brushing up my resume since I still need a job and sent it in, but never got a confirmation it was received. SO doing some research on the company I couldn't find it listed under the NEw Jersey corporate division of records, but a company of a slightly different name TECH SOLUTIONS INSTITUTE, INC. filed 6/2000 which is the date that USTech Solutions mentions it got its start. I called the number this morning that I had previously mentioned and got a voicemail, I didn't leave a message, however Komal Khurana just called me back asking who just called her number, so I know that the line is being monitored. Its all kinda strange, and I am now concerned about what they are doing with my resume information. This could be some sort of data mining operation.

Received a call from this number as they wanted to offer me a job said we pulled up your resume this morning on CareerBuilder and found you're a good fit for the position being offered. I mentioned that I was already employed and that I don't know how they got my resume if it is set to private, to where no employers can see it. I questioned him on this and he said "Thank you" and hung up.
US Tech Solutions is a staffing agency. If your resume is out on Monster, Career or any site like this they run web crawlers looking for key words in your resume that match posted job positions and try to place you there. Obviously, they work on some kind of commission so they continue to call for that one in a million placement. The problem with all of this is: if you have them submit your resume and then a reputable staffing agency who is working directly with a hiring company calls and wants to place your resume for consideration, with both of them submitting you could kick you completely out of the pool of candidates for consideration and hire for the position (assuming it is a really position to begin with).
Called today, left message in mostly unintelligible Indian accent (the #1 indicator of a scam call). They obviously mined my data from a job board and are looking for more information. Be a cold day in hell before I'll ever talk to them. Added them to call block, the best innovation since Alexander Graham Bell invented the phone. You have to be prepared for these kinds of scumbags whenever you make a resume public on any major job board. Just block 'em and move on.
