got a call saying my warranty was up and they asked for me by name, when I asked them if they wanted to speak to sr. or jr. they didn't know what to say finally the guy just gave me the spiel, I told him I was very interested but busy at the time so I asked him for his number to get back to him later and he hung up, what I've found to be the best way to deal with these people is to say that the person they are calling for has passed away, they never call back
has called 5 times today, no message left. I called the number back---its a number "not in use"---
Your Nuts! say your a professional , but you can't spell what is your profession?? all you do is ramble on about nothing. Amazing.
This number called me twice today. No voice mail. Based on the comments I've read, I'm glad I didn't answer.
Really glad there is a thread on this. Got a call this morning from this dude. He said he was calling about my car warranty that was about to expire. I interrupted him and asked him again what company he was calling from. He claimed it was Nissan. He tells me they have been trying to get in contact with me about the manufacturer's warranty that is about to expire. I told him he was mistaken, as my car is a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and the warranty will not expire for the next 7 years. He then said there must have been some sort of error and he would call the dealership to get everything cleared up. Beware of these warranty scams! They are straight up lying!
Call shows up as out of area. I never answer a number I do not recognize. After reading up on here, I see that this is a scam car warranty thing. I did get a call from a local number last week that I answered, and they were trying to sell me an extended warranty on a car I have not had since Jan 2012.
Here's the email I just sent to the Chrysler dealership. It's unusual to get a telemarketing call from a legitimate business. They generally follow the rules - the scammers don't. =====Your fax number (201) 845‑6009 is linked to a telemarketing scam where someone is calling to offer auto warranties. My caller ID shows a call was made to my home yesterday at 4:04 MT. I live in Utah. I'm on the Federal do-not-call list. If an employee is using your fax for telemarketing purposes to drum up business, I presume it's not authorized by your business, and I know it's a violation of federal law. I wanted to bring this to your attention so you can handle it appropriately.
